Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
HBOT is a medical therapy that places the body in a pressurized, oxygen-rich environment. Hyperbaric therapy depends on the relationship between air pressure and gases where an increase in pressure allows a gas to be more easily dissolved into a liquid. When breathing in the pressurized environment in our chambers, the oxygen delivered by the lungs is dissolved at a greater rate and volume by the body’s tissues, bloodstream and organs. This process rapidly increases the body’s ability to function, repair, and regenerate. Our chambers are manufactured with nontoxic, medical grade components. We currently offer both single and double occupancy chambers.

Discover Its Many Diverse Benefits
Performance Enhancement
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has been reported in several clinical studies to speed up healing and provide a quicker return from injuries. Additionally, it has been reported that the tissues repaired while using this procedure end up having enhanced tensile strength. This can have a profound impact on athletes or those that are more susceptible to re-injuring the same tissue. Additionally, numerous studies have clearly demonstrated a dramatic reduction in pain following hyperbaric procedures. This has been supported by patients throughout the world reporting strong and similar pain relief following HBOT.
INCREASED Energy
The human body depends on a constant supply of oxygen to help generate enough cellular energy (ATP) for all of its metabolic needs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) provides the body with an enhanced supply of oxygen, resulting in extra energy to be manufactured within the body’s cells and tissues. In damaged tissue, this surplus of oxygen helps provide the critical extra energy needed for both tissue repair and function.
Regeneration
The enhanced oxygen absorbed during Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facilitates the body’s ability to produce both new tissue and blood vessels. This is not only essential for damaged areas and injuries inside the body, but more importantly, helps combat the degenerative effects that occur from aging. HBOT is well known in hospitals and wound care centers for skin collagen production and tissue regeneration. HBOT is also a powerful way to stimulate the bone marrow into producing more stem cells. These cells then can circulate in the blood stream and end up in many different areas resulting in critical regeneration.
HBOT additionally helps the body create new blood vessels. This can provide long term circulatory benefits that are crucial for recovery from various diseases and afflictions.

DETOXIFICATION
The cells in our body are constantly being exposed to unprecedented levels of pollutants and toxins from the food we eat, the air we breathe, the clothes we wear and the environment we live in. As these challenge, and sometimes overwhelm, our natural and built-in antioxidant system, our DNA becomes more vulnerable to these attacks resulting in disease and disorder.
HBOT provides a robust and rapid rise in the endogenous antioxidant system, targeting metabolically-active tissues resulting in enhanced cellular protection for both ongoing and future exposures.

Injury recovery
From muscle contusions and ankle sprains to delayed onset muscle soreness, hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used for recovery to facilitate soft tissue healing, quicken healing time in fractures, reduce swelling and get athletes back to the game faster. During hyperbaric oxygen therapy 12-15 times more oxygen is carried throughout the body, helping to accelerate the healing process, stimulate the immune system and hyper-oxygenate muscles for more efficient performance.
Many studies are being conducted on the effects of HBOT on concussion recovery. Many positive results have been seen with HBOT accelerating the elimination of symptoms. More importantly, emerging studies are showing that patients suffering long-lasting effects of traumatic brain injury have found resolution of the symptoms through HBOT.
“When somebody has a brain injury, there’s an area around the badly injured cells that is dormant or asleep. It (HBOT) kind of wakes the cells up and gets them to start working again.” says Dr. Barry Miskin, who is leading one of these studies. He is working to prove hyperbaric oxygen therapy can resolve symptoms of traumatic brain injuries by increasing blood flow to affected areas of the brain.
People with brain injury due to stroke and degenerative conditions of the brain and central nervous system (Dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc.) can also benefit from the effects of HBOT. Ongoing studies are showing neurogenic results for stroke victims and a deceleration of progression in degenerative conditions for those undergoing HBOT treatment.

immune function
The chief components of the immune system are the white blood cells. These cells have a variety of essential roles inside the body, one of which is to fight infections. They do this through an oxygen-dependent system called phagocytosis. HBOT has been shown to enhance phagocytosis, helping the body kill and ward-off infections.
High enough oxygen dosages, as typically produced in high-pressure oxygen chambers, can produce large amounts of oxygen radicals. These compounds can also have a direct negative effect on invasive microorganisms, particularly harmful bacteria that die off in the presence of oxygen.

pre & post surgical intervention
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) floods your tissues with oxygen, promoting faster healing. HBOT can reduce pain, swelling and bruising, and even have an anti-bacterial effect. Particularly in post-traumatic injury, these effects better prepare the target of the surgery for a better outcome. Once the surgery is complete, HBOT diminishes discomfort and reduces complications. Many surgeons now recommend HBOT to their patients both before and after surgical procedures. Scar tissue generation, both internal and external, is diminished with hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment, resulting in less visible scars and diminished motion restriction or complications.
pain management
Numerous studies have clearly demonstrated a dramatic relief in pain following hyperbaric procedures. The evidence points to anti-inflammatory effects being the key mechanism for pain relief.
Emerging data is now confirming HBOT’s powerful and dramatic pain-relieving effects that have been so well-documented in clinical studies. This also can give us a much better understanding of HBOT’s full potential in pain management strategies.
